Materials & Finishes for Cruiser Builds

Cruiser components often need to balance structural strength, durability, machinability, corrosion resistance, and appearance. Material and finish selection follows the component’s function and the requirements of the finished build.

6061-T6 Aluminum

A practical choice for many brackets, control components, and structural parts where machinability, durability, and weight need to stay balanced.

7075-T6 Aluminum

Used where higher strength is required while maintaining a lightweight aluminum construction.

Carbon & Alloy Steel

Selected for load-bearing components requiring high strength, load capacity, wear resistance, or long-term structural durability.

Stainless Steel

Used where corrosion resistance and long-term appearance are important, particularly for exposed components.

Titanium

Available for weight-sensitive or premium applications where the specification justifies its use.

Bearing & Wear Materials
