Rearsets Built Around Motorcycle Fitment

Motorcycle rearsets replace or reconfigure the original foot controls. They bring the mounting interface, foot position, shift and brake controls, linkage and related hardware into one application-specific assembly.

For an aftermarket brand or parts supplier, the starting point is not a standard rearset from a catalog. It is the product requirement – including motorcycle fitment, control configuration, dimensions and interfaces. HPM works from your drawing, sample, OEM reference or existing product to establish the production specification around your application.

Custom manufacturing for aftermarket programs

HPM manufactures custom motorcycle rearset assemblies for aftermarket brands, distributors and motorcycle component programs. We work from your product requirements, drawings, samples or existing references to establish the required production specification.

01

Mounting Interface

Model-specific mounting points, frame interface and fastener arrangement.

02

Rider Position

Footpeg, toe-piece and control positions coordinated around the rider triangle.

03

Shift & Brake

Pedals, pivots and linkage geometry built around the required control layout.

04

Related Interfaces

Clearance and OEM interfaces evaluated for the specific motorcycle application.

Product Configuration

Configure the rearset around your product

Rearset configurations are not one-size-fits-all. The required foot position, shift pattern, control layout and mounting arrangement depend on the motorcycle and your product specification.

01

Position

Customer-specified foot position and required adjustment range can be evaluated around the motorcycle application.

Fixed position | Adjustable range

02

Shift

Shift configuration is determined by the required control layout and motorcycle setup.

Standard shift | Reverse / GP shift

03

Controls

Pedal, linkage and control positions are coordinated according to the product requirement.

Shift pedal layout | Brake pedal layout

04

Interfaces

Mounting points, OEM interfaces and surrounding clearances are reviewed for the specific motorcycle.

Mounting arrangement | OEM interfaces

Fixed, adjustable, standard or GP are project variables. The final configuration depends on the motorcycle, product specification and application review.

Motorcycle Fitment

Fitment starts with the motorcycle

Rearsets are highly fitment-dependent components. A model, year or equipment change can affect mounting points, pedal geometry, clearance and OEM interfaces

Fitment is part of the product

Build the assembly around the platform

Motorcycle / generation / configuration

Motorcycle identity

Make, model, year, generation and relevant version.

Mounting interface

Existing mounting points, reference dimensions and fastener requirements.

Control geometry

Shift shaft location, brake master cylinder position and pedal relationship.

Clearance

Swingarm, exhaust, frame, side stand and bodywork clearance through control movement.

OEM configuration

ABS, brake-light switch, quickshifter and other components that may affect compatibility.

Engineering Logic

Keep every control in relationship

Moving the footpeg changes more than the rider’s foot position. Shift and brake controls must remain correctly located, with the linkage and lever movement coordinated around the new assembly.

Aftermarket Program Fit

Which product programs need custom rearsets?

HPM reviews rearset projects for aftermarket brands, distributors, wholesalers, sourcing companies and performance or racing programs. The required assembly depends on the product brief and motorcycle application.

01 / Performance program

Sportbike

For aftermarket performance and track-oriented product programs requiring model-specific rearset assemblies.

02 / Street program

Performance Street

For aftermarket control-component programs requiring application-specific positioning and interfaces.

03 / Non-standard program

Custom Applications

For motorcycle products requiring non-standard mounting, control geometry or component arrangements.

Custom Manufacturing

From product reference to repeat production.

For an aftermarket product line, a rearset is not only a one-off assembly. Once the fitment and configuration are approved, consistent production becomes part of the product requirement.

01

Requirement & Product Review

Review your drawing, sample, CAD file, OEM reference or existing product together with the required motorcycle application and product specifications.

02

Fitment & Specification

Evaluate dimensions, mounting interfaces, control geometry and application requirements to establish the production specification.

03

Sample Approval

Confirm the required product configuration and reference before production.

04

Repeat Production

Manufacture subsequent batches to the approved specification and product reference.

Built for aftermarket brands, distributors and motorcycle component programs.
